A newly married scholar sets out on a strange journey to explore other men’s wives, believing it fits with his own ideas and beliefs, which are different from those of a monk called the Sack Monk. Along the way, he meets a skilled thief known as the Flying Thief, who agrees to help him but only if the scholar gets a very large manhood, like that of a horse. The scholar agrees and undergoes a surgery to make it happen.

He then begins his wild adventures, trying to live a life full of pleasure. However, things don’t go smoothly. He runs into many problems, like angry husbands and dangerous women, which make his new lifestyle much harder than he expected.
